美國(guó)Catphan 500 CT性能測(cè)試模體已得到知名CT生產(chǎn)公司的認(rèn)同，都用它來(lái)標(biāo)示CT機(jī)的成像性能。該模體較依據(jù)AAPM 1977年1號(hào)報(bào)告生產(chǎn)加工的注水模體有很多優(yōu)點(diǎn)：因是固體模體，沒(méi)有漏水的問(wèn)題；儲(chǔ)運(yùn)箱能當(dāng)模體支架，模體能探出掃描床外；低對(duì)比度分辨力模體由同一種物質(zhì)不同密度材料制成等。

美國(guó)phantomlab Catphan500 CT性能測(cè)試體膜產(chǎn)品概述：

醫(yī)療模體：

模體用來(lái)檢測(cè)醫(yī)院的CT性能，由塑料制成，Catphan500, Catphan600, Catphan5700, CTP500, CTP600, CTP700等. 另外一個(gè)是醫(yī)院的磁共振性能檢測(cè)模體，完全使用有機(jī)玻璃制成，也有兩個(gè)型號(hào)，其中的圓柱形，就是Magphan? SMR170，廠家是美國(guó)模體實(shí)驗(yàn)室。

功能：Phantomlab與物理學(xué)家兼哲學(xué)家Goodenough, Ph.D.,共同努力發(fā)展了Catphan?模體。新型的Catphan?模體設(shè)計(jì)是基于醫(yī)療成像儀器方面二十多年的科學(xué)研究和臨床經(jīng)驗(yàn)。該種模體可以應(yīng)用于軸向和螺旋CT掃描成像系統(tǒng)的各種操作評(píng)價(jià)以及質(zhì)量保證系統(tǒng)。

不同的模塊組成了Catphan?模體，這些模塊尚可適用于連續(xù)20cm空間。為了在Catphan?424中使用水容器，所有Catphan?組件都是由Solid-cast材料構(gòu)成。Solid-cast結(jié)構(gòu)可以降低材料的吸水性和水浴模體相關(guān)的露水問(wèn)題。

包括Catphan?500在內(nèi)共有三種基本Catphan?模體。Catphan?是為螺旋CT掃描而特殊設(shè)計(jì)的。
