Abstract: To optimise heat transfer in industrial processing of plastics like injection moulding or extrusion it is necessary todetermine thermal conductivity under different pressures and temperatures.As an additional tool for capillary rheometer testing equipment a transient line-source sensor according ASTMD5930 for heat transfer measurement was developed. The test device is introduced. Measurement results of differentpolymer materials are presented. A strong influence on pressure and temperature can be observed.
