With the introduction of the magnetically coupled DuoLine, Pfeiffer Vacuum gained a key technology edge in the field of two-stage rotary vane pumps back in 1996. Successful development work has enabled this technology edge to be further broadened. With the PentaLine series, it has been possible to offer backing pumps with pumping speeds of 20 to 35 m3/h that provide convincing, environmentally friendly cost-effectiveness. The ability to slash energy costs by around 30 % makes this a highly attractive vacuum solution by comparison with conventional rotary vane pumps equipped with asynchronous motors.
