Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are environmental pollutants with a high carcinogenetic and mutagenic potential, and can be found in different kinds of environmental and drinking waters worldwide. A sensitive and rapid determination of these substances is essential. In this Application Note, an automated and fast online solid-phase extraction (SPE) method was developed using the Agilent 1200 Infinity Series online SPE solution with an Agilent 1260 Infinity autosampler.
