SUMMAR Y Using a simple pin on disc machine the friction and wear characteristics of grey cast iron, aluminium bronze and phosphor bronze rubbing against channel type and conventionally ground surfaces of chromium plating were studied.The results are discussed and microscopical investigations of tested specimens used to illustrate the conclusions derived.
