The Canadian Grain Commission, the regulatory department within the Canadian government which regulates grain trade in Canada, has a testing procedure for buckwheat in their grain standards. This testing procedure uses the Carter Day Dockage tester and has specific sieves and settings for the separation of dockage from Buckwheat. This test method would be used for the evaluation of a shipment of buckwheat for the determination of grade or quality. There are other small capacity cleaners for the general cleaning of a large bulk of buckwheat.
